FAITH BY WHICH WE LIVE

Faith by Which We Live
by Tom Rasely
(written for the 9/6/09 worship service.)

Chorus
What we do is only made possible
through the Faith by which we live.
What we say is given substance
through the Faith by which we give.
The actions of our daily lives
are the actions of that Faith;
It’s a living, breathing acting out
of God’s amazing grace.

1) You wish another well, saying
"Go, be warm and well fed,"
And you never stop to think at all
It could be you instead.
When we see the world is a cold, cold place,
And there’s hunger in the land, remember that
Faith would never walk away
without Offering its hand.

Chorus

2) Someone will say, "You have faith,
And I have deeds instead."
Well, show me a faith without any deeds,
And that faith will prove to be dead.
Our faith in God is never without
Responsibility;
And our sacrifice is measured
by our accountability.
And…

Psalm 90 - A Prayer of Moses

Psalm 90 - A Prayer of Moses
by Tom Rasely
(written for the 10/26/08 worship service.)

Lord you have been our dwelling place
Throughout eternity
You were there before the earth was formed,
Before the mountains came to be.

From everlasting to everlasting
You are God, yes you are God.
For ever and forever more
You will be God.

From dust we came, to dust we’ll go,
So it is with humankind
Because a thousand days within your sight
Are like a day that’s just gone by.

From everlasting to everlasting
You are God, yes you are God.
For ever and forever more
You will be our God.

Make us glad for all the afflictions
And the troubles in our land
May your deeds be shown to your children
As you establish the work of our hands.

From everlasting to everlasting
You are God, yes you are God.
For ever and forever more
You will be our God.
