OPPORTUNITIES FOR WORSHIP AND REFLECTION

Sunday Morning Worship is held at 10:00 a.m.     

Nursery care is provided.

Communion is celebrated during worship the first Sunday of each month, and during visitations upon request.

The Otis A. Thompson Chapel is open for private meditation throughout the week.

Prayer/Care Team meets for intercessory prayer every Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. New participants are always welcome.

Seasonal Services, Joint Services, Ecumenical Services, and Educational Opportunities are a regular part of the yearly cycle.

A Library containing theological and spiritual works is available, as well as videos and DVDs.

Daily Devotional Guides, These Days and The Upper Room, are available in the church entryway in regular or large print.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR COMMUNITY

Coffee Hour - The community gathers for coffee, snacks and sharing after worship every Sunday in the Founders' Room.
 
Senior High Youth Group,
for grades 9 through 12, meets most Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. for supper in the church kitchen, followed by an activity.
 
Women's Fellowship meets Wednesdays
at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel with a business meeting the second Wednesday of each month. All women of the church are members of Women's Fellowship and are invited to participate in Women's Fellowship activities. A bag lunch follows in the kitchen.

Prayer Shawl Ministry meets twice a month.  Shawls are started with intentional prayers and worked so that every stitch is a prayer. When the shawl is given to someone in need of comfort and prayer, both the giver and receiver feel the unconditional  embrace of God.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEARNING AND SPIRITAL GROWTH

Church School for kindergarten through grade 8 begins each Sunday at about 10:15 a.m., after the children's time in the worship service. The children have an opening program of music, Christian basics, and mission thought, followed by classes for three age groups.  On Communion Sundays, the children may remain in church with their families or go to Church School for a Bible video.

Lectionary Based Bible Study - Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m. to
6:45 p.m.  Open to all members of the parish.  Short enough to fit in after most work hours, but still be a chance for a quick time of respite at mid-week to consider God's Word.

Nursery Care is available Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to after the time of community sharing which follows the worship. The children have snacks, lessons at their comprehension level, music and crafts.

Seasonal Series - Opportunities for education and community are often provided during appropriate times in the church year.

Women's Forum meets every Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Mayflower Room for sharing, study, and discussion.

Church Library has over 1,000 volumes.  Books and videos may be borrowed any time the church is open.

Family Counseling Ministry is available with counselor Joanne Lanfear.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR SERVICE

Senior High Youth Group participates in work camps, usually in the summer and does a work fellowship weekend trip at various times.

Women's Fellowship meets every Wednesday at  11:30 a.m. in the Founders' Room to prepare or carry out a service activity.

The Choir practices Wednesday evenings from         7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in preparation for the Sunday worship.

Handbell Choir plays during worship several times during the year.

Thanksgiving Baskets are assembled and given to over 180 needy families each year, under the direction of the Local Missions Committee.

The congregation gives financial support to a number of service activities in the community and around the world. In addition, many of our members volunteer their time and labor at The Place and other community projects.
